How do you know that you've got one? Your doctor should evaluate your symptoms, but here's is a list of possible warning signs, courtesy of the National Digestive Diseases Information Clearinghouse:

  • Pain in the stomach that feels dull, not sharp, and burning.
  • Stomach pain that usually goes away after you eat, but may return several hours after.
  • Stomach pain that occurs in the middle of the night when you haven't eaten in several hours.
  • Weight loss and loss of appetite.
  • Nausea and vomiting.
